The Greater Lewisville (Lewisville ISD) Special Education PTSA was chartered in May 2005, which was right after Ryan had turned 3 and entered the public school system. Through this organization of educators and parents of special needs children, we have gradually learned how to navigate the school system, where to find community resources, how to handle our finances and family issues...pretty much everything about life as we knew it before Ryan had changed! Some of the parents we met through this organization (you know who you are) have been our lifeline in this challenging process, and we hope to be able to "pay it forward" and offer the same assistance and words of wisdom to other parents who travel this path along with us.
Amy is both proud and perpetually BUSY while serving as President of this great group for 2007-09!
